catching up

Well to catch up the last couple of days...Sunday we had a lazy, not get out of our pj's day until about 4 when Emily's friend Reilly came to spend the night. We then watched Spiderwick Chronicles and had some pizza. We then took back things to people. Monday morning Taylor and Cassidy's friend Kait came over to play. We made muffins and then had to take them with us to the doctors. Taking 5 kids was a little different but everyone behaved wonderfully. Emily has a double ear infection. Argh! This time it is in the ear canals, so less damage more hurt. Sorry Emily. Then I got a massage while the girls played at Reilly's house. We stayed at Reilly's house for a little bit and then went to get new two wheel scooters. These girls LOVE scooters. They ride on them inside, outside, everywhere. Anytime we go somewhere they ask if we can ride scooters there. We then went to the park with friends to get some good use out of them. While we were there we got to watch our friend Charlie play baseball. I forgot how cute coach pitch baseball was and Charlie had some awesome hits to the outfield and caught a great fly ball. Yeah Charlie!! Tuesday we got some stuff done and then that afternoon went to the library. The girl's got their first prize for the summer reading program and we checked out some books. After, we went over to my aunt and uncles for some trampoline time. Today we used Emily's cookbook she got at the library about Kit the American Girl Doll. we made breakfast puffs from the late 1700's, some "runny eggs" (fried) and some fruit for breakfast. They were so yummy. We can't wait to get some more ingredients to try some of the other recipes. The rest of our day was busy running around, cleaning house, laundry, you know, all the fun stuff. To my friend who is hurting right now, I love you so much and I am praying for you! I am thankful for the wonderful people I have in my life that surround me with love. Here is a little prayer that I have on my front door...

Saint Theresa's prayer

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.
